Roles & Responsibilities
1. Developing Relationships: Build and maintain a network with other studios and artists to promote Don Bosco Academy's studio and its projects.
2. Sound Recording: Capture and record audio in studios or on location, including setting up and operating recording equipment, microphones, and other sound devices.
3. Sound Mixing: Balance and adjust audio levels, add effects, and enhance the overall sound quality during the recording process.
4. Live Sound Reinforcement: Train personnel to operate and control the sound system to ensure optimal audio quality for the audience. This includes setting up speakers, microphones, and other audio equipment, managing sound levels during live events, and troubleshooting technical issues.
5. Sound Design and Editing: Create sound designs for various projects by manipulating sound effects, Foley sounds, dialogue, and music to enhance the overall audio experience.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, recording devices, and software. Also responsible for managing and updating stock and inventory of all equipment.
7. Post-Production: Complete post-production tasks such as audio editing, mixing, and mastering to deliver final audio products that meet desired standards for various media platforms.
8. Technical Knowledge and Research: Stay updated with the latest advancements in audio technology and techniques; conduct research on new equipment, software, and industry trends to improve skills and ensure high-quality sound delivery.
9. Curriculum Development and Teaching: Develop and deliver dynamic music and audio production courses designed to meet the needs of students at various skill levels. Instruct and guide students in new courses introduced by the academy, covering sound engineering, music production, and performance through both theoretical lessons and hands-on practice
10. Mentorship and Student Projects: Mentor students by providing constructive feedback and guiding them through their projects. Encourage creativity and exploration in student work, particularly for the media school.
11. Equipment Oversight and Training: Be responsible for maintaining and updating all studio equipment. Coach and update the peons assigned to look after the Academy and school sound systems, ensuring that they maintain the quality of the equipment under your training.
12. Innovation and Studio Development: Introduce innovative techniques and new aspects to the studio, promoting continuous growth and improvement.
13. Studio Promotion and Business Development: Promote the studio and media school, seeking business opportunities from external clients. Market and advertise the studio using creative audio spots or collaborating with the team to boost visibility.
14. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and stay updated with new trends.
Work Location: In person
