We are looking for a Quality Engineer to manage and strengthen quality control across our nylon cable tie manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for incoming material inspection, in-process quality, final product inspection, documentation, customer complaint analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working directly on the production floor and coordinating closely with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor quality of nylon cable ties manufactured through injection moulding.
- Conduct incoming raw-material, in-process and final-product inspections.
- Ensure compliance with approved product specifications and quality standards.
- Perform and maintain records for:
- Dimensional inspection
- Visual inspection
- Locking/engagement test
- Tensile/loop tensile strength testing
- Bend/flexibility testing
- Moisture checks for nylon material
- Colour and appearance verification
- Carry out first-piece / first-off approval before production release.
- Perform regular hourly/periodic production quality checks.
- Identify defects such as:
- Brittle cable ties
- Lock failure
- Free locking
- Short moulding
- Flash
- Dimensional variation
- Colour variation
- Contamination
- Wrong product/size mixing
- Investigate internal rejection and customer complaints using Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, CAPA and related quality tools.
- Coordinate corrective actions with Production and Tool Room.

- Calibration records
- Traceability records
- Customer complaint documentation
- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and applicable product-quality requirements such as IEC 62275.
- Monitor rejection trends and recommend actions for reducing defects and improving process capability.
- Participate in customer, internal and external quality audits.
- Ensure rejected/non-conforming material is properly identified, segregated and controlled.
Candidate Profile
Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastic, Polymer, Production or relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience:
Preferably 2–5 years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, ideally in:
- Plastic injection moulding
- Engineering plastics
- Automotive plastic components
- Electrical accessories
- Cable ties or similar precision moulded products
Technical Knowledge Preferred
- Injection moulding process and common moulding defects
- Engineering plastics, particularly PA6 / PA66 Nylon
- Vernier caliper, micrometer and other inspection instruments
- Tensile testing and basic material testing
- 7 QC Tools
- Root Cause Analysis
- 5-Why Analysis
- CAPA
- Control Plan
- Inspection Plans
- Calibration systems
- ISO 9001 documentation
- Basic understanding of SPC and process capability

Ensure that every batch of cable ties leaving the factory meets dimensional, functional, mechanical and visual quality requirements while continuously reducing rejection and customer complaints.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
