We are seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to manage day-to-day shop floor operations, ensure production targets, maintain quality standards, and supervise manpower in a heavy fabrication / engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise fabrication, machining, and assembly activities on shop floor
- Monitor daily production targets and ensure timely completion
- Read and interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOQ
- Ensure adherence to quality standards (WPS, ISO, QA/QC procedures)
- Manage workforce allocation (fitters, welders, helpers, machine operators)
- Coordinate with design, planning, and purchase departments
- Maintain shop discipline, safety, and 5S practices
- Track material usage, wastage, and productivity
- Ensure proper use of tools, machines, and equipment
- Prepare daily progress reports (DPR) and job status updates
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Fabrication / Production Engineering
- 5–10 years experience in heavy fabrication / ducting / ESP / structural works
- Strong knowledge of:
- Welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC)
- Sheet metal & structural fabrication
- Industrial equipment manufacturing
Skills Required
- Ability to read AutoCAD drawings / GA layouts
- Strong manpower handling & leadership
- Knowledge of shop planning & execution
- Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting)
- Problem-solving under production pressure
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
