Overview
The Associate Technical Lead – Microsoft Dynamics CRM is responsible for ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality solutions in alignment with established development guidelines, security standards, and documented specifications. This role includes mentoring developers, conducting peer reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous technical growth and excellence within the team.
In addition to providing technical leadership, the Associate Technical Lead will contribute to the ongoing maintenance and future feature development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions supporting MUFG Pension & Market Services’ Superannuation Funds Contact Centres and CRM systems. The role requires hands-on experience in building and configuring Dynamics 365 solutions, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with Dynamics 365 Architects, business stakeholders, and senior IT leaders across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
- Lead project delivery by applying strong technical expertise to drive successful and timely outcomes.
- Contribute to project execution through effective resource utilization and proactive resolution of blockers.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions.
- Take ownership of designing and developing high-quality, quick-to-market IT solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM within an Agile environment.
- Drive innovation by generating creative solutions to problems and identifying opportunities to enhance business services and processes.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Strive for ongoing improvement in both technical proficiency and business domain knowledge.
Operational Management
- Design and develop high-quality, quick-to-market IT solutions within an Agile environment.
- Troubleshoot application issues, resolve coding bugs, and address performance bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with vendor partners to ensure timely and uninterrupted delivery of work.
- Contribute to the development of new team standards, methodologies, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of development efforts.
- Provide input on business processes to help deliver commercially viable and effective solutions.
People Leadership
- Engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for the development of effective IT solutions.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to junior developers and team members.
- Coach and mentor team members to strengthen specific technical and functional skills aligned with individual and business needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and promote effective use of technology for problem-solving.
- Lead and inspire the team to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in both technical expertise and business acumen.
- Conduct timely reviews of team deliverables across all project phases—planning, analysis, design, development, and testing—and provide support as needed to enhance overall team performance.
Governance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support MUFG Group assurance programs by promoting effective risk management and compliance practices.
- Contribute to the development of new team standards, methodologies, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of development work.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in Microsoft Dynamics CRM development.

Experience & Personal Attributes
Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience (ideally 9–12 years) in software development on the Microsoft Dynamics platform, with strong programming expertise in C# and .NET.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
- Certified in Microsoft Dynamics 365, including the following certifications: MB-200, MB-210, MB-220, MB-230, MB-600, MB-700, and MB-901.
- Proficient in Azure, microservices architecture, Git or other version control systems, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
- Experienced in working with Dynamics 365 (CRM) SDK, JavaScript, AngularJS, and other JavaScript frameworks.
- Skilled in using Visual Studio IDE, with a solid understanding of SQL, JSON, AJAX, HTML, jQuery, and XML.
- Hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
- Demonstrated experience (4+ years) in implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including customization and extension using JavaScript, C#, HTML5, CSS, and jQuery. Relevant CRM certifications are an added advantage.
- Well-versed in Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, with proven experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong understanding of source control, unit testing, and continuous integration and build practices.
- Experience with system integrations, Agile project environments, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Dynamics CRM Portals or PowerApps Portals.
- Involved in at least one full-cycle implementation of Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Experience working with large systems integrators (SIs) is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in modern cloud patterns and practices.
- Azure experience is highly preferred.
