Qualification -- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Job Summary --
The AIS/GIS Substation Design Engineer will be responsible for the complete engineering and design of EHV/HV substations (AIS & GIS) from concept to detailed engineering. The role involves preparation of design drawings, equipment selection, BOQ, technical calculations, coordination with clients, consultants, EPC teams, and OEMs while ensuring compliance with applicable IEC, IS, IEEE, and utility standards.
Key Responsibilities--
1-Prepare primary engineering layouts for AIS/GIS substations (33kV–765kV).
2-Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangement (GA), Equipment Layouts, Bus Bar Layouts, Sectional Views, Earthing Layouts, Cable Routing, Lighting, and Lightning Protection layouts.
3-Perform equipment sizing and selection including transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs/CVTs, isolators, surge arresters, reactors, PLCC equipment, and auxiliary systems.
4-Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Material Take-Off (MTO), and technical specifications.
5-Conduct design calculations including:
6-Bus bar sizing
7-Short circuit calculations
8-Voltage drop
9-Earthing design
10-Illumination calculations
11-Lightning protection studies
12-Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Protection & Control, Telecom, and SCADA engineering teams.
13-Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
14-Resolve engineering queries during construction and commissioning.
15-Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and client meetings.
