Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Fitter role based in Chennai. The Mechanical Fitter will assemble, install, align, and maintain mechanical components and machinery used in automation systems, following engineering drawings and technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include fitting and assembling parts, performing routine inspections, identifying mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime. The role involves working with machining and hand tools, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting equipment commissioning and testing. The Mechanical Fitter will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment while complying with workplace safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong fitting and assembly skills, including experience with mechanical components and machinery installation.
- Hands-on proficiency in machining operations and use of common workshop tools and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of maintenance and preventive maintenance practices for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, or a related discipline.
- Experience in industrial automation, manufacturing, or plant maintenance environments is an advantage.
- Commitment to safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and quality control requirements.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Pay: ₹9,014.58 - ₹29,334.98 per month
