Key Responsibilities1. Patient Care Management
- Ensure delivery of safe, ethical, and high-quality nursing care.
- Monitor patient assessments, treatment plans, and nursing documentation.
- Conduct regular patient rounds and address patient care issues promptly.
- Ensure timely execution of doctors' orders.
- Monitor critically ill patients and coordinate emergency care when required.
2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise Staff Nurses, Nursing Assistants, and Ward Attendants.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage shift allocations.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
- Guide and mentor newly recruited nursing staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
3. Clinical Operations
- Ensure proper medication administration practices.
- Monitor infection prevention and control measures.
- Ensure adherence to nursing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Monitor use of medical equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
4. Quality & Patient Safety
- Ensure compliance with NABH/NQAS and hospital quality standards.
- Conduct nursing audits and quality checks.
- Monitor patient safety indicators and incident reporting.
- Investigate medication errors, falls, and adverse events.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
5. Documentation
- Verify nursing records for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper maintenance of patient files and registers.
- Prepare daily census and departmental reports.
- Maintain shift handover records.
6. Inventory & Equipment Management
- Monitor availability of medicines, consumables, and emergency supplies.
- Ensure crash cart is complete and checked regularly.
- Report faulty equipment for timely repair.
- Coordinate with the biomedical department for equipment maintenance.
7. Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants, Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), and other departments.
- Liaise with Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, OT, ICU, Billing, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care meetings.
8. Training & Development
- Conduct induction training for new nursing staff.
- Organize regular clinical skill training and continuing nursing education (CNE).
- Conduct mock drills for emergency preparedness.
- Ensure competency assessments are completed.
9. Infection Control
- Monitor hand hygiene compliance.
- Ensure biomedical waste segregation according to guidelines.
- Supervise sterilization and disinfection practices.
- Monitor isolation protocols and PPE compliance.
10. Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly nursing reports.
- Participate in hospital committee meetings.
- Handle patient and attendant complaints professionally.
- Assist in accreditation activities (NABH/NQAS).
- Ensure implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Education: GNM or B.Sc. Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing preferred)
- Registration: Valid State Nursing Council Registration
- Experience: 5–8 years of clinical experience with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role

Pay: ₹18,086.00 - ₹56,007.30 per month
