We are looking for an experienced and responsible Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the property.
Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations, supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining cleanliness standards, managing inventory, and ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest quality. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience in hotel housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily work of housekeeping staff.
- Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness standards.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and prepared before guest check-in.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, training, and motivation.
- Maintain inventory of bedsheets, pillow covers, towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other housekeeping materials.
- Keep proper stock records and inform management about replenishment requirements.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure rooms are guest-ready at all times.
- Report maintenance issues such as plumbing, electrical, furniture, or equipment damage promptly.
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment is used and maintained properly.
- Maintain proper grooming, discipline, and attendance of housekeeping staff.
- Implement and enforce hotel SOPs, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
- Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure linen quality, laundry coordination, and proper storage of housekeeping supplies.
- Prepare daily housekeeping reports and communicate operational updates to management.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a hotel.
- Experience in a 3-star or above hotel is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Knowledge of housekeeping SOPs, hygiene standards, and hotel operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hotel housekeeping operations and inventory management.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining reports and stock records.
