Introduction
Child in Need Institute (CINI) has been implementing/facilitating different programs to demonstrate models in improving quality of lives of children, adolescent and women in need. CINI also provides technical support to different State Governments and at National level for strengthening existing services and build up capacities of personnel working at different layers. CINI’s core model is based on CINI method that promotes a rights-based convergence approach which has so far attracted the attention of policy makers and other different actors of development sector, and which has proven to be an effective design to promote local level solutions for improving care and protection of Children.
Activities to be performed/ Requirements:
- Awareness of child rights and child-friendly, non-discriminatory practices.
- Adherence to organization policies, especially Child Safeguarding and Data Protection
- Ability to travel for training and capacity-building sessions
- Proficiency in smartphone usage
- Driving two-wheeler with valid DL
Qualification:
- Minimum +2 or Intermediate with minimum 55% marks
- Inter pass or graduate in relevant discipline
Experience:
- Knowledge of child rights, education and adolescent/youth engagement
- Experience in community mobilization and working with children, youth, women and vulnerable groups, including LGBTIQ+ communities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Hindi and/or local language (spoken, written and reading)
- Documentation and community mobilization skills in Hindi or local language
- Must belong to or be based in the local community
Job Description:
- Personnel will play a central role in coordinating and supervising all the overall activities of the center.
- ILC Facilitator will extend different forms of services including identifying the vulnerable children and youth and run all the activities of the centers.
- He/She/They will help the target groups accessing the centers.
- Ensure that the children’s, adolescent and youth’s needs and rights are met effectively. ILC facilitator will be responsible in creating a safe, nurturing environment encouraging the development and well-being of vulnerable groups.
- He/She/They will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and foster a sense of agency and participation.
- The ILC facilitators will be responsible in contributing a more equitable and inclusive urban environment in Ranchi.
- The ILC facilitator will be responsible in enrolling 30 children in the age group of 6–10 years.
- The ILC facilitator will be responsible in enrolling 40 children in the age group of 10–17 years.
- The ILC facilitator will be responsible in enrolling 30 youth in the age group of 18–25 years.
- The ILC facilitator will be responsible in enrolling 30 women.
- Around 30 members from LGBTIQ+ communities for each center will be included as part of the enrolled target groups.
- Responsible for formation of children, adolescent & youth groups and training of leaders (Champions of Change).
- Providing first-level counselling support to children, adolescents, youth and women in distress situations and linking them with institutions for rehabilitation and support services.
- Will perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Expected travel: Travel to assigned centers and communities for facilitation and smooth functioning of ILCs and community mobilization activities
Salary: - Rs.15,000/- per Month (CTC)
