Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to marine operations, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for vessel operations and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for marine projects and vessel operations.
- Source and procure marine spare parts, mechanical equipment, and technical materials.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms with vendors.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and comparative statements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with engineering and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and budget controls.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and documentation.
- Coordinate with finance and stores for timely delivery and payment processing.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in marine, shipping, or engineering industry.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of marine equipment and mechanical spare parts procurement.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation.
Preferred:
- Experience in marine engineering procurement or ship management companies.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements across projects.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
