Job Summary
Sri Lakshmi Automobiles World is looking for an experienced Works Manager to lead the operations of our Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centre. The candidate will be responsible for workshop operations, manpower management, service revenue, customer satisfaction, workshop profitability, and ensuring compliance with Ashok Leyland service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end workshop operations, including General Service, Repairs, Warranty, and Breakdown Jobs.
- Achieve monthly service revenue, labour sales, and workshop profitability targets.
- Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and bay utilization.
- Ensure timely delivery of vehicles by controlling Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction (CSI) and first-time-right repairs.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve escalations effectively.
- Coordinate with the Spare Parts department to ensure parts availability.
- Monitor warranty claim processing as per Ashok Leyland guidelines.
- Lead Service Advisors, Supervisors, Technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct daily review meetings and monitor workshop KPIs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with OEM processes, safety standards, and workshop discipline.
- Support business development initiatives to increase workshop revenue and fleet customer retention.
Eligibility
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Commercial Vehicle Service Operations.
- Experience in an 1-3 Years Ashok Leyland Authorized Service Centre is preferred.
- Strong leadership, workshop management, and customer relationship skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, ERP systems, warranty procedures, and workshop KPIs.
- Valid Driving Licence preferred.
