Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Purchase Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement activities for engineering and industrial projects. The candidate should have strong techno-commercial knowledge, vendor management skills, and experience in sourcing industrial materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete procurement cycle for engineering and industrial materials
- Source and procure valves, piping components, instrumentation items, electricals, and mechanical equipment
- Prepare RFQs and perform techno-commercial evaluations
- Analyze quotations and prepare comparison sheets
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms
- Coordinate with engineering, project, QA/QC, and store teams
- Develop and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure timely delivery as per project requirements
- Maintain purchase records and vendor database
- Monitor market trends for cost optimization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement or industrial purchasing
Required Skills
- Knowledge of boiler & accessories
- Knowledge of instrumentation & electrical items
- Understanding of industrial valves and piping systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and datasheets
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems
