Role Description
- As an Assistant Vice President, you will support in the production, analytical review, and governance of Average Assets reporting and analytics.
- These outputs support regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, and capital planning, including management reporting packages and limit monitoring.
- In addition, a significant portion of your time will be spent supporting the Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) production and reporting cycle, contributing to analytical reviews, reconciliations, and controlled documentation that supports regulatory capital reporting.
- This is a highly interactive, team-based process. You will work closely to resolve data questions, deliver timely outputs, and support management review and sign-off.

Your key responsibilities
Average Assets reporting delivery and analytics
- Support the preparation, review, and delivery of Average Assets reporting packages and supporting analytics, partnering closely with key stakeholders.
- Prepare variance analysis and management-ready commentary on Average Assets drivers, including identification and escalation of material items and data issues.
- Provide inputs to balance sheet management and capital planning routines, including utilization versus Average Asset limits and related management reporting.
RWA production and reporting support
- Support the RWA production cycle through data validation, reconciliations, and analytical review of key movements, ensuring outputs are accurate, explainable, and supported by an appropriate audit trail.
- Assist with period-over-period variance analysis and concise commentary on RWA drivers and linkages to regulatory capital metrics.
- Coordinate with Technology, Data, Finance, and Risk partners to support controlled delivery and testing activities where upstream data, mappings, or calculation logic change.
Control, governance, and process improvement
- Maintain and evolve Key Operating Procedures (KOPs) for Average Assets (noted as evolving) and contribute to controlled, auditable reporting processes through disciplined documentation and evidence retention.
- Drive process efficiency and workflow redesign opportunities across Average Assets and supporting RWA tasks, including standardization of templates and enablement of automation where feasible.
Your skills and experience
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, balance sheet/capital analytics, finance production, or closely related Finance/Risk disciplines within a Global Investment Bank or similarly complex financial institution.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce concise, management-ready analysis and commentary under tight timelines.
- Working knowledge of balance sheet and capital concepts, including how Average Assets and RWA support capital planning, monitoring, and limit frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate data issues, interpret guidance, document conclusions, and deliver outputs in a controlled, auditable environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, including comfort operating in a highly interactive, cross-regional team model.
- Proficiency in tools that enable automation and process efficiency (e.g., PowerQuery, Python, SAP, tableau or similar) is highly valued.
- Knowledge of the regulatory reporting tools (e.g., Axiom, SAP), general ledgers, offered products, and their related activities is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA, MBA, or advanced degree beneficial.
