Medivision Scan and Diagnostic Centres is one of South India's leading healthcare diagnostics networks, operating 75+ branches across Kerala and Chennai for over three decades. We are seeking a hands-on IT Hardware Engineer to keep our branch equipment and IT infrastructure running smoothly.
Role Summary
The IT Hardware Engineer will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of all computer hardware, networking equipment and IT-connected diagnostic systems across the branch network. The role demands a hands-on professional who can troubleshoot hardware issues quickly, minimise branch downtime, manage AMC vendors, and additionally support software, networking and digital requirements of the organisation.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma in Computer Hardware, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field
- Hardware and networking certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, N+, CCNA, or Jetking/equivalent hardware-networking diploma
Experience
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Strong experience maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, barcode/label printers, scanners, UPS and power backup systems
- Experience supporting hardware across multiple branch locations preferred
- Exposure to healthcare/diagnostics environments — interfacing lab analysers and diagnostic equipment with computers — is a strong advantage
Core Competencies – Hardware (Primary)
- Diagnosis and repair of PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals at component level
- Preventive maintenance schedules for branch hardware to minimise breakdowns
- LAN/WAN setup and maintenance — cabling, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points
- CCTV, biometric and UPS system upkeep across branches
- Interfacing and troubleshooting of lab equipment connections with billing/LIS software
- Inventory management of hardware assets, spares and consumables
- Managing AMC vendors and hardware suppliers; negotiating repair and purchase costs
Additional Skills (Secondary)
- Working knowledge of Windows OS installation, antivirus and system software support
- Basic server maintenance, data backup routines and restore procedures
- Coordination with software vendors for LIS/billing application issues
- Awareness of data security and patient data protection practices
- Support for new branch IT setup — planning, procurement and installation
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to and resolve hardware breakdowns across branches with minimum turnaround time
- Maintain uptime of computers, printers and network equipment at all 75+ branches
- Guide and coordinate with branch-level support technicians
- Maintain asset registers and plan timely replacement of ageing hardware
- Manage AMCs, warranties and vendor relationships for all IT hardware
- Set up complete IT infrastructure for new branch openings
- Control hardware-related expenses within the approved budget

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
