About the Role
DAZN is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale engineering initiatives across our global streaming platform. This role is ideal for someone who has grown from a Java Software Development background into Technical Project Management and possesses a strong understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum practices, software architecture, and engineering best practices.
You will work closely with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Managers, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
- Track project progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and mitigation plans.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical challenges and facilitate informed decision-making.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining engineering quality and operational excellence.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams distributed across multiple geographies.
- Monitor project health using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, sprint predictability, and release progress.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Agile delivery practices.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership and business stakeholders.

8–12+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3–5+ years as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Delivery Manager.
- Prior hands-on experience as a Java Developer working on enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of Java, Microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple Scrum teams simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working closely with Architects, Engineering Managers, and Product teams.
- Ability to understand technical design discussions and effectively remove delivery impediments.

- Excellent Agile coaching and delivery management capabilities.
- Proven experience managing software engineering projects from inception through production release.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced product engineering environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
