The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the jewellery, retail, or similar industry, with good knowledge of day-to-day accounting, billing, reconciliations, GST, and financial record maintenance.
The candidate should be organized, accurate, trustworthy, and capable of handling accounting activities independently while coordinating effectively with management and other departments.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
- Record and maintain sales, purchase, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
- Handle daily showroom billing and ensure accurate accounting of sales transactions.
- Verify invoices, bills, vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Maintain and reconcile cash and bank transactions on a regular basis.
- Perform daily cash verification and ensure proper recording of cash transactions.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain proper records of customer payments, advances, outstanding amounts, and settlements.
- Handle accounting related to jewellery sales, purchases, repairs, returns, and exchanges.
- Coordinate with the sales, billing, inventory, and management teams regarding accounting matters.
- Maintain proper records related to gold purchases, sales, wastage, making charges, and other applicable charges.
- Assist in maintaining and reconciling jewellery stock-related financial records.
- Handle accounting entries related to jewellery chit / savings scheme collections and maintain accurate customer payment records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports for management.
- Assist in monthly closing activities and ensure all entries are properly updated.
- Support GST-related accounting and documentation and coordinate with auditors/tax consultants when required.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, vouchers, receipts, and other financial records.
- Identify discrepancies in transactions and take timely action to resolve them.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial and customer information.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required records and documents.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and financial controls.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
