Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers, identify their needs, and provide personalized product recommendations and live demonstrations. [1, 2]
- Sales & Upselling: Promote products, inform customers about ongoing promotions, and use upselling or cross-selling techniques to hit daily and monthly sales targets. [1, 2, 3]
- Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor while restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays. [1, 2]
- Transaction Processing: Operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, accurately process cash and card payments, and handle returns or exchanges. [1, 2]
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock counts, receive new shipments, and report low stock or discrepancies to the store manager. [1, 2]
- Customer Support: Address customer queries, resolve complaints, and gather feedback to relay to management for service improvements. [1, 2]
Core Requirements
- Education & Experience: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in direct customer service, retail, or counter sales.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and verbal communication skills in languages prevalent in the local area.
- Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and articulate the features, benefits, and warranties of the merchandise being sold.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the sales floor frequently, and lift or move heavy items when required.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience operating or learning POS billing systems.
Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
