Position Title: Senior Engineer – Building Construction

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Engineer – Building Construction to oversee and manage construction activities for residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional building projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, quality control, safety compliance, resource management, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and schedules. Ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations while collaborating with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for effective project execution. Address technical issues by reviewing construction drawings on-site.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programs, and resource allocation plans; coordinate procurement requirements for timely availability of materials and equipment; conduct regular site meetings and maintain progress reports.
- Quality control involves the implementation of quality assurance procedures, monitoring material testing, inspections, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. It also includes the prompt identification and rectification of quality issues.
- Cost and resource management involves monitoring project costs, minimizing material wastage, verifying contractor bills and work completion, and assisting in budgeting, cost control, and project forecasting.
- Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations is crucial. Regular safety inspections should be conducted, and safe working practices enforced. It is also essential to maintain project documentation and statutory records.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7 to 15 years of experience in building construction projects.
- Proven experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, industrial, or institutional building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and site management practices.
