We are looking for a passionate and technically skilled R&D Engineer – Paint / Surface Coating Technology to support research, formulation development, testing, and technical improvement of industrial coating systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Product Development
- Conduct R&D activities related to paints, coatings, and surface protection systems.
- Develop and improve coating formulations and application processes.
- Work on innovative solutions for industrial and infrastructure coating requirements.
Testing & Validation
- Perform testing and validation of coating performance as per applicable standards and specifications.
- Evaluate coating properties such as adhesion, durability, corrosion resistance, and performance.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical evaluation reports.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for coating failures or application issues.
- Provide technical recommendations and corrective actions for coating-related challenges.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and testing teams for product improvement initiatives.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of R&D trials, formulations, observations, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, and testing procedures.
- Prepare technical documents, SOPs, and research reports as required.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with laboratory, quality assurance, and production teams for testing and product development activities.
- Support customer and project-specific technical requirements when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Paint / Surface Coating Technology or equivalent
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in paints, coatings, or industrial R&D
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Epoxy, PU, and protective coating systems
- Understanding of coating testing standards and performance evaluation
- Research and formulation development capabilities
- Technical reporting and analytical skills
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Good coordination and communication skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in industrial coatings, infrastructure coatings, or protective paint systems preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and coating applications
- Innovative mindset with strong technical understanding
