Job Responsibilities – Assistant Manager (Purchase- Real estate and Construction Industry background)
Location : MG Road , Bangalore
Exp : 4 - 10 yrs into Real Estate / Construction filed is must
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct vendor negotiations for best pricing, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare and manage vendor comparison statements and recommendation reports.
Purchase Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with project, site, QS, and planning teams for material requirements and schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid project delays and site interruptions.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid excess or shortage of materials.
- Track market trends, material price fluctuations, and availability.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), Work orders, Hire Orders, and procurement agreements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual terms.
- Maintain proper procurement records, approvals, and documentation.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and material receipt reports.
Cost Control & Budget Management
- Achieve cost optimization through effective negotiations and strategic sourcing.
- Monitor procurement budgets and control material costs.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare MIS reports for management review.
- Support value engineering initiatives to reduce project costs.
Logistics & Delivery Management
- Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules with vendors and site teams.
- Ensure materials are delivered as per required specifications and timelines.
- Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, shortages, or quality concerns.
Quality & Technical Coordination
- Ensure purchased materials comply with approved makes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and technical teams for material approvals and inspections.
- Handle replacement or rejection of non-compliant materials.
Team Management
- supervise site store staff and coordination activities.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train team members on procurement procedures and ERP systems.
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare monthly procurement status reports and cost analysis reports.
- Maintain procurement data in ERP/Quadra systems.
- Support audit requirements and management reviews.
Technical Knowledge
- Good knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and approved makes.
- Understanding of BOQ, drawings, contracts, and project schedules.
- Familiarity with procurement planning, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of GST, invoicing, and commercial documentation.
Software & System Knowledge
- Proficiency in ERP/Quadra systems.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and procurement tracking systems.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations, or Finance is preferred.
Experience
- Typically 5–10 years of experience in procurement/purchase within the construction or real estate industry.
