Company Overview
We are a premier manufacturing unit located in Kheda, Gujarat, specializing in high-quality engineering components. We are seeking a diligent and result-oriented QC & Production Engineer to oversee our component dimensions, product quality, and production cycle times.
Position Overview
- Role: QC & Production Engineer
- Location: Kheda, Gujarat
- Experience Required: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing/casting units
- Education Qualification: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Automobile)
Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Dimensional & Quality Checking (QC)
- Take full ownership of dimensional inspection and quality verification of finished and semi-finished components.
- Hands-on use of precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and thread gauges.
- Ensure all parts match the exact tolerances specified in the engineering drawings.
- Identify surface defects, structural flaws, or structural irregularities, and implement instant corrective actions to minimize rejection rates.
2. Production Planning & Cycle Time Management
- Monitor, measure, and maintain optimal machine cycle times to maximize production efficiency.
- Analyze bottleneck areas on the shop floor causing cycle time delays and work on reducing idle time.
- Balance quality checks alongside production speed to ensure throughput targets are met without compromising on part standards.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily quality inspection reports, rejection analysis data, and logbooks.
- Track hourly production outputs against set targets and report variations to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or related field).
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of solid experience managing both quality control (dimensions) and production tracking.
- High proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of cycle time management, line balancing, and productivity optimization.
- Practical approach to solving problems directly on the shop floor.
