Job Objective:
To support the sales team in executing effective marketing strategies, acquiring new customers, maintaining client relationships, and driving volume growth across specialty chemical product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Sales: Identify new business opportunities and connect with potential B2B customers.
- Client Coordination: Maintain regular contact with existing mid-sized and large accounts to understand their ongoing requirements.
- Application-Based Selling: Learn and explain product applications and performance benefits to customers based on their technical needs.
- Market Tracking: Assist in gathering data on market trends, competitor pricing, and new growth areas.
- Sales Execution: Work towards achieving monthly/quarterly sales volume targets to maximize plant capacity utilization.
- Forecasting & Operations: Coordinate with customers to get accurate monthly product forecasts and follow up on timely deliveries and realizations.
- Documentation & Reports: Handle day-to-day sales documentation, quotations, and coordinate for export/domestic logistics if required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:Education:
- B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry OR B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
Work Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in sales/marketing or business development.
- Experience in a Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Company OR a Chemical Trading Company marketing specialty chemicals is mandatory.
Competencies & Skills Required:
- Good understanding of chemical markets, especially in sectors like Paints & Coatings, Agrochemicals, Textile, or Home & Personal Care.
- Experience in handling day-to-day sales operations for Mid-Sized or Large customers.
- Knowledge of export processes or handling international clients will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for sales reporting.
