Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and drafting of our industrial mass-finishing machinery. Working closely with our production team, you will be responsible for creating robust mechanical designs, precise manufacturing drawings, and translating engineering concepts into shop-floor reality for in-house manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
● Design & Modelling: Create detailed 2D drafts and 3D CAD models for mass-finishing machines, equipment and related accessories.
● Engineering Drawings: Prepare comprehensive fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for the manufacturing team.
● Design Optimization: Improve existing machine designs for better performance, cost-efficiency, and ease of assembly.
● Reverse Engineering & Upgrading: Lead / assist in dismantling, establishing metrological as well as metallurgical parameters through tests to design parts and assemblies for building, replacing and/or upgrading the machine / parts / process.
● Production Coordination: Collaborate directly with the shop floor to resolve design-related manufacturing issues and ensure output aligns with precision tolerances.
● Prototyping: Assist in the R&D and structural testing of new machine components prior to production.
Requirements
● B. Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
● Min. 4 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in mechanical design and drafting, specifically within machinery, SPM (Special Purpose Machines), or industrial equipment manufacturing.
● Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Inventor).
● Understanding of metal fabrication, machining techniques, and engineering tolerances.
● Ability to read, interpret, and create complex engineering drawings.
● Problem-solving skills with a practical, shop-floor-ready approach to design.
Annual Remuneration (CTC)
Subject to evaluation of Qualification, experience and skill-set:
● Baseline: 3,60,000/- to 5,40,000/-
● Advanced: 4,80,000/- to 6,00,000/-
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
