Job Purpose
The AutoCAD Draughtsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and production drawings based on site measurements, approved designs, and client requirements. The role ensures that all drawings are precise, practical for manufacturing, and support smooth project execution and installation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Measurement & Verification
- Visit project sites to take accurate measurements.
- Verify site conditions before preparing production drawings.
- Identify site constraints and communicate any discrepancies to the design and project teams.
- Ensure all measurements are documented correctly.
2. Preparation of Drawings
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for interior and modular furniture projects.
- Develop production drawings with complete dimensions and specifications.
- Revise drawings based on design changes, client approvals, or site requirements.
- Maintain drawing standards and proper documentation.
3. Production Coordination
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure drawings are clear and executable.
- Clarify technical details and resolve production-related drawing issues.
- Support the preparation of cutting lists and material specifications when required.
4. Site Clearance & Installation Support
- Confirm site readiness before releasing production drawings.
- Coordinate with site engineers and installation teams regarding drawing execution.
- Provide technical clarification during installation whenever required.
- Update drawings based on site modifications.
5. Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain organised records of all drawings and revisions.
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.
- Minimise drawing errors that may affect production or installation.
- Maintain confidentiality of project documents.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD (2D).
- Ability to interpret architectural and interior drawings.
- Strong understanding of modular furniture and interior fit-out detailing.
- Good measurement and drafting skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of production processes and installation methods.
Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD is preferred.
- The candidate should be complete at least 4 month technical internship or training
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
