Job Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic laboratory tests, handling patient specimens, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. The role requires strict adherence to laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality control procedures to support effective patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in microbiology, hematology, and biochemistry
- Collect, label, and process patient samples following standard procedures
- Prepare reagents, cultures, and media as required
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
- Record, analyse, and report test results accurately
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols
- Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records
- Dispose of biohazard materials according to regulatory guidelines
- Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities
- Support senior staff in advanced diagnostic procedures

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Prior experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory preferred
- Fresh graduates with relevant training may also apply
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and safety standards
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
