Our client is a leading organisation in leather accessories manufacturing based at Chennai. As a part of the expansion plan in their HR department, they are looking for a HR Executive to be based near Tada in Andhra Pradesh.
1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manpower Planning: Forecast hiring needs by collaborating with department heads (Cutting, Stitching, Finishing, and Quality Control).
- Bulk & Niche Hiring: Source and recruit both skilled persons (cutters, skivers, machinists) and corporate staff (designers, merchandisers).
- Onboarding: Conduct induction and orientation sessions, explaining company policies, safety protocols, and company culture.
2. Payroll & Workforce Management
- Attendance & Shifts: Manage daily attendance, leaves, and complex shift scheduling, especially during peak production seasons.
- Payroll Processing: Track working hours, process overtime, and coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely salary and incentive disbursements.
3. Compliance & Audits
- Labor Laws: Ensure strict adherence to regional regulations like the Factories Act, Payment of Wages Act, and EPF/ESI schemes.
- Buyer Compliance & Safety: Maintain documentation for strict international ethical and environmental audits (e.g., SEDEX, SMETA, HIGG Index, buyer COC) common in the leather and garment export sectors.
- Safety Standards: Enforce workplace safety rules, including the provision and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) around heavy machinery and tanning/dyeing chemicals.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Grievance Handling: Act as the bridge between management and the shop floor workforce, resolving disputes, and addressing employee concerns fairly.
- Culture Building: Plan employee engagement activities and reward/recognition programs to boost morale, minimize turnover, and increase worker retention
5. Administration & Offboarding
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive employee records in the HRMS, ensuring strict confidentiality.
- Exit Formalities: Manage the resignation process, conduct exit interviews, and ensure smooth full and final settlements
Interested candidates with MBA/MSW qualification with 3-5 years of experience or even without experience may please apply. The person would be trained on various aspects of HR from time office to performance appraisal. Should be fast learner. Should be able to read, write & speak Hindi, apart from English & Telugu.
