- Preparing 2D and 3D models of physical structures or products using various software
- Developing detailed drawings of various products, structures
- Collaborating with architects, engineers and designers to create innovative designs and plans
- Conducting research and gathering information to ensure the accuracy of designs
- Reviewing and analysing blueprints, specifications and other technical documents
- Making revisions to designs as required and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Communicating with other members of the design team to meet project deadlines
- Creating documentation of design work for record keeping and future reference
