Position: Presales Engineer – IIoT & Industrial Automation
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Role Overview
We are looking for a technically strong and customer-focused Presales Engineer who can bridge the gap between industrial processes and smart digital solutions. You will work closely with sales, R&D, vendors, and enterprise clients to design scalable IIoT architectures and drive successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of IIoT hardware – sensors, transmitters, gateways, RTUs, Remote I/Os
- Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Drives, Control & Power Panels
- Expertise in protocols: Modbus, CAN, OPC-UA, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/REST, TCP/IP
- Exposure to IoT gateways, edge computing (Raspberry Pi, Jetson, OpenWRT)
- Hands-on knowledge of instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level)
Solution Design & Sales Support
- Conduct requirement analysis & identify measurable KPIs
- Design complete IIoT/automation architectures
- Prepare SRS, solution blueprints, BOM, costing & ROI analysis
- Develop PoCs, prototypes & manage RFP documentation
Customer Engagement
- Present technical solutions & conduct demos
- Support business closures through technical clarity
- Maintain strong client relationships pre- and post-deployment
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Work with OEMs & technology partners
- Evaluate hardware/software vendors
- Ensure seamless integration & delivery
Project Rollout & Value Creation
- Support installation, configuration & testing
- Assist in training & post-rollout AMC/SLA support
- Deliver data-driven insights & measurable value outcomes
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech (Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical or related)
- 3–5 years of experience in IIoT, automation, presales or solution design
- Strong documentation & proposal-building skills
- Excellent analytical & customer-facing abilities
- Basic programming (Python/C/C++), cloud IoT platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
