We are looking for a creative and versatile Content Writer to join our team and craft compelling narratives across all our digital touchpoints.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Content Writer at Lakyou Beauty, you will be the voice behind our brand. You will create engaging, on-brand written content across social media, e-commerce, website, blogs, email campaigns, and more. You will work closely with our Social Media, Design, and E-commerce teams to ensure every word we publish reflects our brand values and connects with our audience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media & Scripts
- Write engaging scripts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video content
- Craft witty, on-brand captions, hooks, and CTAs for all social media platforms
- Develop content ideas and copy for social media campaigns and product launches
- Write trending, relatable content that connects with our target audience
Website & Blog Content
- Write SEO-optimised website copy including homepage, product pages, and landing pages
- Produce well-researched, engaging blog articles on beauty, skincare, wellness, and lifestyle topics
- Ensure all website content is updated, accurate, and aligned with the brand tone
E-commerce Content
- Write compelling product descriptions, titles, and bullet points for the website and marketplaces (Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, etc.)
- Optimise product listings with relevant keywords to improve discoverability
- Create persuasive copy for promotional banners, offers, and seasonal campaigns
Email & Campaign Copywriting
- Write email newsletters, promotional mailers, and drip campaign sequences
- Craft subject lines, preview text, and email body copy that drive open and click rates
- Develop ad copy for Meta, Google, and influencer collaboration briefs
Brand & General Content
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all written communication
- Write press releases, brand stories, and media pitches when required
- Proofread and edit content created by other team members
- Stay updated with beauty industry trends, competitor content, and audience preferences
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written communication skills in English (Hindi proficiency is a plus)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form content formats
- Experience in writing SEO-friendly content and basic knowledge of keyword research
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra) is highly desirable
- Ability to write in multiple tones — playful, professional, informative, and persuasive
- Creative mindset with a strong sense of storytelling and audience empathy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of tools like Google Docs, Notion, or any CMS is preferred
- Interest in beauty, skincare, fashion, or lifestyle is a strong advantage
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field
- 1 - 3 years of professional content writing experience (beauty/lifestyle/D2C brand experience preferred)
- A strong writing portfolio showcasing diverse content formats
