Job Description – Assistant Teacher (NTT)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate, play-based learning activities aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Foster the holistic development of children by supporting their cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
- Manage classroom routines, behaviour, and transitions while ensuring the safety and well-being of every child.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's progress, and share timely feedback with the Academic Coordinator and parents, as required.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, classroom displays, and other learning resources.
- Build positive relationships with children and maintain professional communication with parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the academic team to ensure effective curriculum implementation and high teaching standards.
- Organize and participate in school events, celebrations, parent interactions, field trips, and co-curricular activities.
- Maintain attendance records, student portfolios, and other classroom documentation as per school policies.
- Uphold the school's values, child safeguarding policies, health and safety standards, and professional code of conduct.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, and continuous professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), or an equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience in a preschool or play school is preferred; however, enthusiastic freshers with the required qualifications may also apply.
Skills & Language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children and a nurturing attitude.
- Good classroom management, creativity, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferred. Knowledge of Hindi and/or other regional languages will be an added advantage.
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
