Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee the execution of solar projects from installation through commissioning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule. The candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in solar project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site activities for solar installation projects.
- Plan, supervise, and monitor project execution to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure all installation work complies with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Supervise site teams and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company HSE policies at all times.
- Inspect materials received at the site and maintain proper inventory records.
- Resolve on-site technical issues and coordinate with the engineering team for solutions.
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and testing before project handover.
- Ensure proper documentation, including site reports, work permits, and project records.
- Coordinate project commissioning and successful handover to the client.
Requirements
- B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline (Mandatory).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in solar project site management or execution (Mandatory).
- Strong understanding of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
- Knowledge of electrical installations, commissioning, and site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of solar project execution, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience in handling multiple project sites.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with MS Office and project documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
