Job Summary
We Lifey Interiors, a 12+ years experienced Interior designing firm located in Trivandrum seeking a talented and creative 2D Designer to join our growing design team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for interior design, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of design software. You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D design drafts, floor plans, elevations, and layout designs to support our interior design projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the creative process from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D Visual Designs: Develop detailed 2D design concepts, floor plans, layout drawings, elevations, and technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with Design Team: Work closely with interior designers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and produce accurate visual representations.
- Client Presentations: Prepare 2D design presentations, including floor plans and mood boards, for client meetings.
- Coordinate with Contractors: Ensure 2D designs are clear and can be easily followed by contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain Design Integrity: Ensure that all design work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
- Stay Updated with Trends: Keep up to date with the latest interior design trends and software tools to bring fresh ideas to the design process.
- Quality Control: Review and proof all design work to ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality before submission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in interior design or 2D design, preferably in an interior design firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of 2D design software for floor plans and elevations.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
- High level of accuracy and precision in creating design documentation.
- Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and collaborate with a team.
