Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, schedule, and train QC staff. Assign daily priorities and evaluate team performance. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Quality Inspections: Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process goods, and final products to ensure adherence to specifications. [1, 2, 3]
- Compliance & Auditing: Enforce regulatory standards (such as cGMP or ISO 9001) and lead routine internal audits. [1, 2, 3]
- Defect Investigation: Identify root causes for defects, customer complaints, or atypical test results, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). [1, 2, 3]
- Reporting: Compile quality metric data and draft regular reports for management and regulatory authorities. [1, 2, 3]
- Equipment Management: Ensure all testing equipment is correctly calibrated and maintained. [1]
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Problem Solving: Strong ability to diagnose defects and devise immediate and permanent solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of quality management software, statistical process control (SPC), and industry-standard frameworks.
- Communication: Ability to clearly relay standards and coordinate issues across the production floor, to engineers, and to senior management.
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Usually requires 3+ years of hands-on quality experience, including previous supervisory or lead roles. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
