Laxmi Jewellers Dubai is a growing premium jewellery brand specialising in lab-grown diamond jewellery, gold jewellery, engagement rings, diamond bands, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and bespoke custom jewellery.
We are expanding our design and manufacturing capability and are hiring an expert Jewellery CAD Designer based in Kolkata who can create luxury CAD designs that are beautiful, accurate, realistic, and ready for real manufacturing.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Jewellery CAD Designer who can create high‑quality CAD designs for gold and diamond jewellery. The designer must understand jewellery proportions, diamond settings, ring sizes, stone sizes in millimetres, casting practicality, prong strength, gold weight control, and realistic rendering.
This is not a beginner role. We need someone who can produce production‑ready files that can be cast, set, polished, and finished correctly.
Trial and Career Opportunity
The selected candidate will begin with a 1‑month trial in India. During this period, we will assess:
- CAD quality
- Speed
- Accuracy
- Communication
- Rendering ability
- Understanding of jewellery manufacturing
If successful, the candidate may be invited to Dubai for a 1‑month Dubai trial.
After a successful Dubai trial, the candidate may be offered a permanent Dubai-based position with free accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
- Create CAD designs for diamond rings, gold rings, engagement rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, tennis bracelets, diamond bands, and custom jewellery.
- Convert customer ideas, sketches, and reference images into accurate CAD files.
- Prepare CAD designs suitable for 3D printing, wax/resin production, casting, stone setting, and polishing.
- Create realistic renders that look close to finished jewellery pieces.
- Prepare technical details including stone count, stone sizes, estimated gold weight, and manufacturing notes.
- Make amendments quickly and accurately when requested.
- Maintain organised CAD files for future production and collections.
- Communicate clearly with the Dubai team in English.
Required CAD Output for Every Approved Design
- STL file for 3D printing or castable resin
- Editable Rhino, Matrix, or MatrixGold file
- High‑quality render images
- Accurate stone count
- Stone sizes in millimetres
- Estimated gold weight
- Clear manufacturing notes
Software Skills Required
The candidate must be confident using professional jewellery CAD software such as:
- Rhino
- Matrix
- MatrixGold
- JewelCAD
- ZBrush (for detailing)
- KeyShot or similar rendering software
The specific software is less important than the ability to produce accurate, editable, realistic, production‑ready CAD files.
Rendering Requirement
The candidate must be able to produce realistic, premium renders suitable for customer approval. Renders should clearly show:
- Diamond sparkle
- Yellow, white, and rose gold
- Proportions
- Setting style
- Multiple angles
Jewellery Knowledge Required
- Ring sizes and proportions
- Diamond shapes and stone sizes in millimetres
- Solitaire, halo, hidden halo, and three‑stone rings
- Prong, pave, channel, and bezel settings
- Eternity bands and tennis bracelet components
- Pendant bails, earring posts, clasps, and assembly details
- Casting limitations and minimum metal thickness
- Gold weight control and cost considerations

- Must be accurate, reliable, and deadline‑focused
- Must be open to relocating to Dubai if selected
- Must provide a portfolio of CAD work and realistic renders
