Job Summary
The Purchase Head will lead the procurement function, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, components, electronics parts, plastics, molds, and other supplies. This role is critical for controlling costs, managing supplier relationships, and supporting smooth production operations in our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, quality standards, and reliable supply chains.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/suppliers for electronics components, raw materials, plastics, and tooling.
- Handle end-to-end purchasing activities: raising RFQs, negotiating prices/terms/contracts, issuing POs, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast material requirements in coordination with production planning, and minimize stockouts/excess inventory.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with vendors while conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Track market trends, price fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities in the consumer electronics and plastics industry.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Finance, and other departments to align procurement with business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the purchase team (as applicable).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality norms, and applicable regulations.
- Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, supplier performance, and budget utilization for management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in consumer electronics, home appliances, plastics manufacturing, or related industries.
- Proven expertise in vendor negotiation, cost reduction initiatives, and supply chain management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, MS Excel (advanced), and procurement tools is desirable.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate suppliers on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
- Good knowledge of market dynamics in electronics and plastics sectors.
- Leadership abilities to manage a team and work cross-functionally.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure in a manufacturing setup.
Compensation & Benefits
- CTC: ₹50,000 per month (as per company policy and candidate experience).
