About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and driven Floor Manager to oversee daily floor operations and lead our retail sales team. In this role, you will be the anchor of the shift—ensuring excellent customer experience, maintaining flawless merchandising standards, and actively driving the team to achieve daily sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, brief, and motivate the sales team (Executives & Senior Executives) at the start of each shift.
- Delegate floor zones, assign daily priorities, and ensure staff adherence to attendance and grooming standards.
- Floor Governance & Operations:
- Oversee all floor activities, managing customer flow and queue times during peak hours.
- Ensure continuous section replenishment, stock availability, and strict housekeeping and cleanliness standards across all aisles.
- Sales Drive & Target Achievement:
- Monitor real-time sales performance during the shift against daily targets.
- Step in to assist team members with high-value or key customer conversions.
- Encourage and guide staff to capitalize on incentive-linked productivity goals and cross-selling stationery items.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Execute and maintain daily floor displays, planograms, and promotional setups according to company standards.
- Ensure featured products, seasonal stationery items, and promotional offers are visibly highlighted and well-stocked.
- Reporting & Shift Closure:
- Generate and submit end-of-shift reports covering sales metrics, estimated customer footfall, stock shortages, and any operational issues or notable incidents.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in a shift supervisor, team lead, or floor management role (experience in retail, bookstore, FMCG, or consumer goods is preferred).
- Skills: Strong team leadership, active on-floor presence, and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency: Basic computer skills for stock checking and generating end-of-shift sales reports.
- Languages: Fluency in Malayalam (essential for local customer interaction) and functional English.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher Secondary Diploma in any discipline.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kazhakuttam, Kerala (695582): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
