The Business Analyst is accountable for:
shaping and defining the true business problem, opportunity and associated requirement, covering People, Process and Technology
delivering solutions that resolve the business problem and setting out impacts and risks
delivering the business analysis activities on projects and programmes
integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with business needs
developing and professionalising themselves and the business analyst community
Business Analyst Core Responsibilities
Scope & Requirements: Elicit, analyze, and document functional/non-functional requirements while maintaining full change audit trails.
Business Cases & Value: Shape cost-effective business cases, evaluate solution options, and track benefits realization.
Solution Alignment: Ensure proposed IT solutions meet business needs, pass acceptance testing, and follow governance/risk standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Align sponsors, PMs, and cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and drive project buy-in.
Risk & Governance: Track, remediate, and escalate key risks/controls using governance platforms (iCARE/Archer).
Delivery & Analysis: Apply tools (Jira, Confluence) and industry best practices to solve complex business problems.
