Job Summary
The Civil QA & Verification Inspector acts as the owner's dedicated representative on-site. The primary responsibility is to conduct independent audits and inspections of the builder's (contractor's) work to ensure strict compliance with quality standards, approved drawings, specifications, and project milestones, specifically for payment verification purposes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality and Compliance Assurance (Audit Function)
- Independent Inspection: Conduct daily, weekly, and stage-wise inspections of all civil and structural works performed by the builder/contractor.
- Deviation Reporting: Document, photograph, and immediately report any non-compliance, deviations, or defects (Non-Conformance Reports - NCRs) from the contract specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Method Statement Review: Review the builder's proposed Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) before work begins and monitor execution to ensure adherence to approved procedures.
- Material Verification: Verify that all raw materials delivered and used on site are as per approved submittals, checking batch certificates, delivery challans, and conducting or witnessing necessary material testing (e.g., concrete slump, rebar grade checks).
2. Progress and Billing Verification
- Measurement Audit: Scrutinize and verify the quantum of work claimed by the builder in their Running Account (RA) Bills (Interim Payment Certificates).
- Joint Measurement: Conduct Joint Measurement with the builder's representative to confirm the physical quantities of work completed before signing off on measurement sheets.
- Progress Certification: Certify the physical percentage of work completion against defined milestones in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) or contract, providing the verified data to the Project Manager/Finance team for payment processing.
- Documentation Check: Ensure the builder has submitted all necessary quality documentation (ITRs, test reports, clearances) corresponding to the completed work before certifying the measurement.
3. Safety and Documentation
- Safety Observation: Monitor the builder’s adherence to standard HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols and flag high-risk practices or non-compliance to the site safety officer.
- Records Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive and organized filing system for all inspection reports, NCRs, verified measurement sheets, daily progress logs, and photographic evidence.
- As-Built Review: Review the builder's "as-built" drawings and data to ensure they accurately reflect the final constructed conditions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology is mandatory.
- dedicated experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) roles on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience in Joint Measurement and Builder Bill Verification is highly preferred for a minimum 3 years.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
