Music Teacher
Role Definition:
Responsible for delivering music education as per the CBSE curriculum, fostering creativity, rhythm, and musical appreciation among students. The Music Teacher develops students’ vocal and/or instrumental skills while promoting cultural awareness, confidence, teamwork, and artistic expression.
Tasks & Activities:
- Conduct structured music classes including vocal training, instrumental practice, and theory sessions.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with CBSE Music curriculum standards.
- Teach basics of rhythm, melody, notation, raga/scale systems, and music theory.
- Train students in group singing, choir, band, or orchestra performances.
- Identify musical talent and mentor students for competitions and cultural events.
- Prepare students for inter-school competitions, annual functions, assemblies, and cultural programs.
- Organize and coordinate music-related events such as Annual Day, celebrations, and special assemblies.
- Maintain musical instruments and ensure proper care and storage.
- Teach stage discipline, performance ethics, and teamwork.
- Record student progress, participation, and performance assessments.
- Encourage creativity through composition, improvisation, and collaborative performances.
- Upgrade professional skills by attending workshops, certifications, and CBSE training programs.
- Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary events and programs.
- Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Chitradurga, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Teaching Music: 1 year (Preferred)
