About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support merchandising and inventory decisions across multiple Tanishq stores. The ideal candidate will transform sales, inventory, customer, and product data into actionable insights that improve product availability, inventory productivity, sales performance, and customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel skills, and the capability to work closely with merchandising, store operations, buying, and management teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Analysis
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance across all stores.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products.
- Monitor category-wise, collection-wise, design-wise, and SKU-wise performance.
- Track achievement against sales targets and provide actionable recommendations.
- Analyze seasonal and festival sales trends.
Inventory & Merchandising Analysis
- Monitor inventory health across all stores.
- Identify excess, ageing, and dead stock.
- Recommend stock transfers between stores based on demand.
- Ensure optimum assortment across all locations.
- Analyze replenishment requirements and suggest purchase quantities.
- Monitor stock availability to minimize lost sales.
Product Performance Analysis
- Evaluate new product launches.
- Analyze conversion rates of new collections.
- Recommend continuation or discontinuation of products.
- Track sell-through percentages.
- Identify product gaps by region or store.
Store Performance Analysis
- Compare performance across stores.
- Prepare benchmarking reports.
- Identify best-selling designs by location.
- Recommend merchandising improvements for underperforming stores.
Dashboard & Reporting
- Create automated dashboards using Excel or Power BI.
- Generate Daily Sales Reports (DSR).
- Generate Weekly Business Review (WBR).
- Generate Monthly Business Review (MBR).
- Prepare management presentations with key insights.
- Ensure data accuracy across reports.
Demand Forecasting
- Forecast future demand using historical sales data.
- Support festive and seasonal inventory planning.
- Assist management in purchase planning.
- Predict inventory requirements to avoid stock-outs.
Commercial Support
- Monitor stock rotation efficiency.
- Calculate inventory turnover ratios.
- Track gross margin by category.
- Support pricing and discount analysis.
- Analyze impact of promotional campaigns.
Data Management
- Maintain accurate master data.
- Validate sales and inventory data.
- Identify data inconsistencies.
- Coordinate with store teams for data corrections.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA (Operations, Retail, Business Analytics, or Supply Chain) is preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in retail analytics, merchandising, inventory planning, business intelligence, or commercial analysis.
- Experience in jewellery, fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or luxury retail will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
