Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Field SCADA Project Engineer to oversee the implementation, integration, and maintenance of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems in the field. The role involves project execution, on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless communication between field devices and control centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of SCADA hardware/software in field locations.
- Diagnose and resolve SCADA-related issues, including communication failures, hardware malfunctions, and software errors & OFC,RF ,RS485 ,TCP-IP network fault finding.
- Interface SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and other automation equipment, ensuring proper data exchange and system functionality.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met within budget and schedule.
- Configure and maintain SCADA networks using Ethernet, fiber optics, wireless, and industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5, OPC, etc.).
- Prepare technical reports, system manuals, test procedures, and site reports for ongoing and completed projects.
- Ensure all SCADA deployments adhere to industry standards, cybersecurity guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Provide end-user training and post-installation support to clients and field personnel.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of experience in SCADA systems, industrial automation, or control system engineering.
- Technical Skills:
o Experience with PLCs, RTUs, HMI systems, and industrial communication protocols.
o Familiarity with industrial networking, VPNs, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
o Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, Oracle)
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Certifications (Preferred):
o Certified SCADA Engineer (CSE)
o Cisco CCNA (for networking)
o Industrial Cybersecurity Certification (ISA/IEC 62443)
Work Environment & Travel:
- Frequent travel to project sites for installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- On-site and remote support as required.
- Ability to work in industrial environments such as power plants, substations, water treatment facilities, and manufacturing units.
