Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Measure, cut, and prepare metal materials for fabrication
- Fit, align, and assemble metal parts using tools and equipment
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, ARC, or gas welding techniques
- Set up welding machines and select appropriate materials
- Clamp, tack, and secure components before final welding
- Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with specifications
- Carry out grinding, finishing, and polishing of welded parts
- Repair or rework defective structures or components
- Maintain tools, machines, and a clean work environment
- Follow all safety standards and procedures at workplace
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members for production targets
