About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Architect to lead the planning, design, coordination, and execution of architectural projects from concept through construction completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with design intent, statutory regulations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects through all project phases, including concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, tendering, and construction administration.
- Develop and manage project schedules, deliverables, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate project execution to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
Design & Technical Coordination
- Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interior, and other consultants to ensure seamless integration.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and resolve design and construction issues.
- Support value engineering without compromising design quality.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct client meetings, design presentations, and progress reviews.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants during project execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and supervise architects, designers, and junior team members.
- Review project deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Support knowledge sharing and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Registered Architect (preferred, where applicable).
- 6-7 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
- Proven experience leading medium- to large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, institutional, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and contract administration.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM workflows.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks, Rhino, or other visualization software is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction detailing, and statutory approval processes.
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
