About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will leverage strong technical knowledge and a detail-oriented approach to support day-to-day activities within the Quality Assurance team. This QA role requires strong critical thinking, communication, proactivity, and consistency to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test suites, compare actual versus expected results, and document findings accordingly.
- Identify testable requirements for a given feature and record defects that describe and quantify deviations from those requirements.
- Define test plans for expected changes while applying acceptance testing concepts.
- Identify and document replication steps for defects discovered during testing.
- Identify gaps in test plans for existing test cases and components under test.
- Provide task details and status updates, keeping leadership informed throughout deployment schedules.
- Contribute to project planning through an understanding of acceptance criteria, test objectives, assumptions, work effort estimation, and risk assessment.
- Proactively identify defects that may not be covered by existing test cases.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders while seeking assistance when required and prioritizing team success.
Qualifications
- Graduation in any discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a SaaS environment.
- Knowledge of the high-level architecture of components under test and their relationship to test plans.
- Experience working with various product personas.
- Familiarity with deployment schedules and escalation paths.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, proactivity, and consistency skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
