Social Media & Digital Design Executive — The Warp 'n Weft
Location: Mumbai (on-site) Type: Full-time Compensation: As per experience, within a defined budget
About us
The Warp 'n Weft is a handloom house — Banarasi weaves and handcrafted Indian wear, rooted in craft. Every piece carries the hands that made it. We're building a small, sharp creative team to carry that craft into how the brand looks, speaks, and shows up everywhere.
The role
We're looking for a Social Media & Digital Design Executive — someone who takes full ownership of our social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond) end to end: visual design and day-to-day handling, from brief to published asset. You'll also own the visual assets that go on our website — product and campaign visuals — with a light sense of UI/UX, enough to keep the website feeling visually aligned with what's live on social.
This role needs real business fluency — an understanding of the brand and business context sharp enough to make sound day-to-day calls without needing every decision spelled out.
Research and strategy for social/brand, backend or Shopify management, and setting brand voice, terminology, and CTAs sit outside this role — you'll execute within that direction, not originate it.
What you'll do
- Own social media channels end-to-end — Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms — from brief through design to publishing and day-to-day handling.
- Website visual assets — product and campaign visuals for the site, with enough UI/UX awareness to keep the website visually aligned with social; not a deep UI/UX ownership role.
- Bring business fluency to the work — understand the brand and business context well enough to make sound day-to-day creative and scheduling calls.
- Execute brand direction, voice, terminology, and CTAs set elsewhere — you don't originate brand voice or strategy.
- Maintain visual consistency and quality bar across all social touchpoints.
What we're looking for
- 2–4 years in design for a brand, studio, or label where taste and creativity matter — ideally with some hands-on channel management experience, not just asset design in isolation.
- Taste, first and foremost — a portfolio that shows a real eye, not just clean layouts.
- A feel for Indian craft, textiles, or handloom is a strong plus.
- Hands-on with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma; comfortable with website visual assets and a light UI/UX sense.
- Comfortable running a social channel day-to-day — scheduling, posting cadence, and basic performance awareness.
- General business and brand fluency — quick to pick up context and make sound calls without hand-holding.
- A working comfort with AI tools is a plus — AI-assisted design, image generation, and a feel for design automation.
- Curious and self-starting — comfortable building in a small team, asking questions, and owning outcomes.
To apply
Send your portfolio (the work you're proudest of, and why) with a short note on what draws you to craft and handloom.
