We are looking for an experienced and motivated Student Counsellor to join our growing Study Abroad and Overseas Education team in Kochi.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in the Study Abroad / Overseas Education industry and a strong ability to guide students and parents throughout their international education journey.
As a Student Counsellor, you will be responsible for understanding students' academic backgrounds, career goals and study preferences and helping them identify suitable countries, universities and courses.
Responsibilities
- Counsel students regarding overseas education opportunities.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals and future plans.
- Guide students in selecting suitable countries, universities and courses.
- Handle student enquiries through phone calls, walk-ins and online platforms.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain strong relationships.
- Explain admission requirements, application procedures and university options.
- Coordinate and support students throughout the admission process.
- Communicate professionally with students and parents.
- Maintain accurate student records and enquiry details.
- Work towards student counselling, admission and enrolment targets.
- Stay updated on international education opportunities and admission requirements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Student Counsellor or Overseas Education Counsellor.
- Previous experience in a Study Abroad or Overseas Education Consultancy is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand student requirements and provide suitable guidance.
- Good knowledge of international universities, courses and admission procedures.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a growing team.
