Position Summary : The Stores Cum Purchase Executive is responsible for managing inventory and procurement operations to support logistics and e-commerce fulfillment. This role includes maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating purchases of packaging materials and supplies, managing relationships with vendors, ensuring timely stock replenishment, and supporting logistics operations for inbound and outbound shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Stores & Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of goods received, stored, and issued.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of goods to prevent damage and loss.
- Manage documentation such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), dispatch logs, and inventory movement records.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent overstock or stock outs and maintain optimal inventory based on demand forecasts.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders for required materials (packaging supplies, office necessities, equipment, etc.).
- Track purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Maintain updated supplier records, vendor profiles, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, customer service) to understand material demand and priorities.
- Place online orders based on customer request
Logistics Support
- Assist with coordination of inbound and outbound shipments related to Shop & Ship services.
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate periodic inventory and procurement reports for management review.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Graduate
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in inventory management, procurement, stores operations
Required Skills
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Comfortable using MS Office (Excel), inventory systems
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to inventory accuracy and supply planning.
Salary package : 15000-18000
Increment : Within 3 months based on performance
Note : We are preferring candidates who are located in & around Velachery, Chennai for ease commute.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
