Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and experienced English Content Writer to develop engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned content for Pre-Primary to Grade 8 educational books. The ideal candidate should have strong English language skills, a passion for education, and experience in creating learning materials for school students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original English content for Pre-Primary to Grade 8 textbooks, workbooks, and practice books.
- Create engaging stories, poems, grammar exercises, comprehension passages, and activity-based learning materials.
- Ensure content aligns with the applicable curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Write content that is age-appropriate, easy to understand, and grammatically accurate.
- Edit, proofread, and review content to maintain quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with subject experts, editors, and designers during the book development process.
- Develop assessment questions, worksheets, and teacher support materials.
- Revise content based on editorial feedback and curriculum updates.
- Ensure originality and maintain high academic standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong grammar, vocabulary, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of child learning methodologies and educational content development.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for different age groups.
- Creativity in developing engaging and interactive learning content.
- Strong research, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Education, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or experience in educational publishing will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in writing educational content.
- Experience in developing textbooks, workbooks, or digital learning content for Pre-Primary to Grade 8.
