Position: AutoCAD Draftsman
Job Summary:
An AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, layouts, and designs using AutoCAD software based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or project managers. The role ensures accurate and timely preparation of drawings for construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Convert hand sketches, concepts, and specifications into technical drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams to understand design requirements.
- Maintain drawing standards, dimensions, and drafting practices.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Update and revise drawings based on client or project requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
- Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material estimates when required.
- Ensure timely delivery of drawings according to project schedules.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and/or 3D).
- Knowledge of engineering and construction drawing standards.
- Understanding of dimensions, scales, and technical specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, or mechanical drawings.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
Educational Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Draftsmanship, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, or related field.
- Certification in AutoCAD preferred.
Experience:
- Fresher in drafting and design.
- Preferred Software Knowledge:
- AutoCAD
- AutoCAD Civil 3D (if applicable)
Salary Range (India):
- Fresher: ₹8,000 – ₹10,000 per month
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
