B B Banthia Finance Pvt Ltd (BFPL) is an RBI-registered NBFC specialising in gold loans, with 14 branches across Maharashtra and head office in Panvel. We are scaling, and we want our decisions run on accurate numbers - not manual spreadsheets stitched together at month-end.
THE ROLE
You will own BFPL's entire MIS function as a hands-on builder. This is not a report-compilation job. It exists to make BFPL data-driven at scale: accurate numbers, on time, with minimal manual effort. You report directly to the Managing Director, with scope to build a team of 1-2 analysts as the function grows.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build and automate reporting
- Build and automate MIS across Credit, Operations, Collections, Accounts, HR, Audit and Branch Operations
- Replace manual Excel reports with automated, scheduled outputs
- Maintain a single source of truth and end report mismatches between departments
- Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reports run reliably without manual intervention
Dashboards
- Design MD-level and department-head dashboards across key business and operational metrics
- Build self-serve dashboards so department heads pull their own numbers
- Standardise report formats, definitions and frequency across departments
Data integrity
- Maintain data accuracy and reconciliation against source systems
- Ensure all reports and automations are auditable with clear data lineage
WHAT YOU NEED
- 3-6 years in MIS, reporting or data analysis
- Expert-level Advanced Excel: Power Query, pivots, complex formulas, report automation. This is non-negotiable
- Working knowledge of SQL, able to write and understand queries
- Working knowledge of Power BI or a similar BI tool, and willingness to build depth in it
- Graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Statistics, Data, Commerce or a related field
- Strong ownership, able to run MIS end-to-end without hand-holding
- Structured problem solver with high attention to data accuracy
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in NBFC, bank, fintech or gold loan business
- Familiarity with lending metrics: AUM, LTV, NPA, DPD, disbursement, collections
- Python for data automation
- Exposure to AI tools for reporting such as anomaly detection and automated commentary
